DEWESoft Users Meeting & Technical Seminar
This will be a live in person 3 day event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Toledo/Perrysburg. The first 2 days will be the DEWESoft users meeting. In this meeting, DEWESoft Users will be presenting to everyone of how or why they use DEWESoft Hardware and Software. The third day will be 3 short technical seminars. You may choose 2 of the 3 courses, morning session and an afternoon session. Descriptions of the Short Technical Seminars are described as below.
Automation Essentials – Presented by John Miller & Al Hoge
This will be a hands-on journey that will cover the essential features within DEWESoft to help create and support Automation capabilities. This short journey will place an emphasis on using Project Files, Global Variables, Data Headers, Math Channels w/ Logic Statements, Digital Inputs & Outputs, and Analog Outputs. After creating a project and setup file with these features, a couple of sequences will be created. This will demonstrate the capabilities of Sequencer; along with, the connectivity and dependence on the project and setup file. By the end of this journey, a user will be able to setup and create small automation sequences using DEWESoft.
Digital Communications – Presented by Dave Gallop
There are a myriad of different digital communications used in both the development and production environments however, many utilize similar principals with a variety of implementations such as CAN and Profibus and the OSI model. This short seminar will introduce some of the more common protocols as well as explaining the best approaches to using each. From serial communications using RS232 to high speed Ethernet each will be reviewed, demonstrated and explanations provided on how to best utilize the power of DEWESoft options to take advantage of each.
Modal Analysis: Intro to Structural Dynamics Seminar – Presented by John Hiatt
In this seminar you will learn to quantify how structures respond to forces using modal analysis. The seminar will cover introduction (defining all the terms), excitation techniques, parameter estimation, and modal validation. The attendees will learn the necessary skills to conduct a successful modal test and analysis.
