Innoflight – Embedded Space Systems
Innoflight builds modular, high performance, low Size Weight and Power (SWaP) electronic systems and qualifying them for extreme environments. We have hands-on experience with government and commercial Tacsats, Microsats, Nanosats and Cubesats. We design and build high-efficiency power systems, embedded systems such as on-board-computers, controllers, and command decoders, high reliability supervisory circuits, secure IP Command and Control (C2) links and analog (FM) and digital (GMSK/BPSK/QPSK) RF links.
S-BAND COMPACT RADIO
Innoflight’s Flight-Heritage S-Band Compact Radio (SCR-100) is designed for performance and reliability in a substantially miniaturized package. It incorporates advanced encryption, modulation, encoding and transport methods through modern highly integrated application specific chipsets (RF) and high density FPGAs.
The transmitter has a frequency range of 2200MHz -2300MHz and supports BPSK and QPSK modulation techniques. Input encoding is designed to support IP/HDLC but also compatible with other NRZ formats. The data rate operates up to 4.5Mbps.
The receiver runs at a frequency range of 2025MHz-2110MHz and supports GMSK and FM/PCM modulation techniques. The input encoding supports IP/HDLC and also compatible with other NRZ formats. The maximum uplink data rate is 100kbps, significantly faster than the traditional SGLS and CCSDS.
This radio has been fully qualified and had its first successful flight in LEO in November 2013. Qualification includes the usual functional and environmental qualification testing along with end-to-end testing with the radios used on the ground side. In addition, the 1494 filing and spectral efficiency testing are all complete and passed.
The SCR-100 is available (and shown above) with optional diplexer + splitter.
